My partner and I wanted to do an engagement photo shoot, and we were a little nervous about it because neither of us had done a professional photo shoot before. We wanted our photos to be candid and natural, and looking at Vena's catalog, she seemed able to capture that quite well. We had our photo shoot with Vena on a mountain hike. The nerves we had going into the shoot were instantly gone, as she did a great job of setting a fun and lighthearted mood. We felt completely at ease and relaxed. Her approach to taking photos was gentle and thoughtful. She played off of our energy and immediately understood what we wanted. One piece of advice I now give to all brides is to book a videographer! Having Lou capture our day was amazing. Quite honestly, he blended into the day and the special moments that he captured will live on forever. As the Bride and Groom, the day went by so quickly but having Lou made it possible for us to see our guests enjoying themselves, funny things happening in the background of the dance floor, and special moments captured with out awareness. Now, being able to watch the beautiful work that Lou created, brings chills to me each time I watch it! He incorporated what we'd requested and also added songs we didn't know in similar genres in foreign languages, interspersed with classic hits, it was seamless and joyful and perfect. He was really flexible in doing some intercultural/interfaith traditions that went perfectly as well. As the bride I was worried about having the stamina to dance as much as I wanted to, and suddenly it was three hours later and I was still energetically dancing (along with half of our guests). Trevor brought great energy, was very communicative during planning & day of, and really great to collaborate with to make the day exactly what we wanted.
